How can I perform at The Echo Room?
Artists must apply through our [application page]. We curate each lineup to maintain a high standard of quality, authenticity, and preparation.
Do I have to play only original songs?
Yes. This is a showcase for original work only. If you’d like to perform a co-write, let us know in your application for approval.
What’s expected of artists?
We don’t expect perfection, but we do expect preparation. Your songs should be ready to share, and your storytelling should be thoughtful. See our Artist Expectations page for full details.
Are there perks for performing?
Yes! We provide professional photo/video content, a portion of ticket sales, opportunities for merch sales, and meaningful exposure to a listening audience.
What’s the vibe like?
Think living room meets listening room. Cozy, intimate, and attentive. We ask that side conversations be kept to a minimum during performances so the focus stays on the artists.
Can I bring kids?
That’s up to you. Most of our shows are family-friendly, but some songs may explore mature themes.
Do I have to be religious to attend?
Not at all. The Echo Room is not religiously affiliated. Some songs may include spiritual or faith-based themes as part of an artist’s personal expression, and that’s welcomed alongside all other authentic storytelling.
Is there food or drink?
It depends on the venue. Some locations offer food and/or drinks for purchase.
Can I record the performance?
We ask that you don’t film entire songs, but short clips for social media are welcome. Please tag the artist and The Echo Room when you post.
Will my photo be taken?
We often have a photographer or videographer present. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes but if you’d prefer not to be, just let us know when you arrive.
How can I support The Echo Room beyond attending?
